My ACT score is a lot better in comparison to the SAT>

If they accept the ACT – yes it’s better than your SAT. Congratulations!

Send both, 2130 is still pretty baller. It’ll show that you could do well on both tests.

nope just act, it will make your app look really good (a 2130 would bring it down)

Check the policies on standardized testing of the schools you’re applying to, and don’t send the SAT if not required (which I think would be the case for most of them).

If they didn’t require the SAT, I would just send the ACT alone.

All colleges accept the ACT.

Might as well send both. They are both great scores.

As long as you took the ACT+W, sending that score alone is a no-brainer. Of course, some highly selective colleges reject Score Choice, so if they require Subject Tests, that 2130 will have to go along for the ride.

^This. The ACT is better by far, but you will have to send your SAT if you send in Subject Test scores.

Assuming your ACT is with writing, send just that. I love these ACT success stories (I got a 35 a month after my last SAT which was a 2050 lol)

Don’t send the SAT unless you have to

Thanks guys, and yes that is a 35 on the act with a 10 on the essay. But on my SAT’s i got a 12 on my essays both times. I think i will be sending in both because most of the colleges Im applying require the subject test. If they don’t i will send in the ACT only. Thanks again!

The SAT will allow you to send Subject tests only to a school. So you could do ACT + SAT Subj only.

^ gnw:

Most highly competitive schools (let’s just say top 20) and the UC system are very specific in their application language about test scores. Most say “ALL test scores” (excluding AP exams), and many go so far as to work with collegeboard.com to disable “Score Choice” in ordering scores sent electronically to their admissions office.

If the school is okay with it then just send the ACT and your SAT Subject tests. My daughter applied to a top 20 school and her admissions counselor said to only send your best score.

Please check with each colleges to which you’re applying as to their score choice policies! If you are applying to too many colleges to call or check websites, you are applying to too many colleges.

I called the admissions office at Stanford yesterday to make sure: An applicant may send either the ACT or SAT I results, but must send results from every test date of whichever one is chosen. An applicant may choose to submit SAT II (subject test) results. An applicant who sends the ACT and the SAT II results is not required to send SAT I results as well.
