What's considered a good GPA?

Sorry to dissapoint you, but anything short of a 4.0 is not acceptable. A B+ destroys your GPA. It reveals to prospective employers that you have a seriously defunct work-ethic.

I hate people.

Really. I do.
Why do I continue to look at threads like this?

you’re screwed mate. switch to sociology or something, that should get you to like district manager of McDonalds in Nebraska.

Guys, he still has a chance. Although he would probably have to drop out of college because of his terrible grades, he can still get into the food industry. Drop out of your current college, start working at a patty flipper at Burger King, and then move your way up to Assistant Manager. Then BAM, $10 an hour. You’re set for life! =D

Also wait until the MegaMillions goes up to about 150M and buy thousands of dollars worth of lottery tickets and hope to win. After you win open a bank and you’re set for life.

Just keep your GPA as high as you can and do whatever it takes to be a banker if that is what you want to do. Even if you failed the class there is no cause to quit if that is what you want - you simply find the means to succeed.

Thinking ‘oh… I got a B+ in calc I and now I have a 3.2 (or 2.2, 2.1 or whatever it may be)! I will quit my dreams of being a banker and all things I had hopes to become and start taking theatre to be a professional actor’ is ridiculous. Don’t listen to the fulltime McDonald’s employees above me.

As for what a good GPA is don’t worry about it. Does a B+ feel terrible? If it does you need to find a way to improve that grade whether it is study groups, math labs, tutoring, or asking more questions in class.

You’re probably screwed. Judging by the way the financial sector caused the financial collapse/housing bubble, you’re now overqualified for the job.

Yes you’re a complete failure you should just drop out now because you are clearly wasting your own time and your parents’ money.

The B+ isn’t the reason you won’t be a future i-banker.

I kind of want to see this guy get an ibanking job just to revel in the resulting lolz. Imagine if this guy actually loses some money on the job. Automatic seppuku.

Hehehehe, that sentence by itself…I’ll refrain from snarkiness.

The term “i-Banker” really irks me for some reason. It sounds like something really trendy and high-tech and up-and-coming (iPhone, iPad, iBanking), but really it’s just investment banking.

/sarcastic micro-rant

No .

I got an A+ in Calculus at the university of massachusetts. I failed out of college a few years back and just got back into it. In highschool I never learned Algebra because my teacher was absent the whole year and I had to watch horror movies everyday because I went to an inner city highschool with a 50 percent drop out rate. I pass Albegra II with a D because my teacher felt pitty and I failed Pre-Cal. I could have quit and said I suck at math but then logic kicked in, my teachers were all pieces of ****, that didn’t care about me. If you want something done right you gotta do it yourself. I taught myself Calculus on YouTube . . God Bless YouTube and I got an A+ in the course.

I don’t want to be a I Banker because I believe the Federal Reserve is the route of all evil and no one should have to work, machines could basically be our slaves and everything could be free if people weren’t so evil.

BAZINGA

You go to stern… And you are asking this question… What the hell happened to the education standards…

Lol at people who are taking this thread seriously

Well getting a B+ in a class pretty much guarantees a lifetime of unemployment, have you considered dropping out, transferring, and/or killing yourself?

LOLOL that bazinga so well placed

um… yeah, you’re a complete and total failure. I’m sorry. I’d apply early decision to community college if I were you–*you want them to know you’re committed and completely willing to attend. it’ll increase your dismal chances.

would you like fries with that app?

(seriously, dude, is your school on a quarter grading system? or do you mean B+ on a test? or is this just a ■■■■■ thread o.o)

my trolldar is tingling.
