<p>I don't really understand why I got denied. I have been doing really good in all of my classes lately. I had a 3.6/4.0 gpa. 1630 sats (560 math, 510 reading, 560 writing). I have been taking college level classes since junior year. I have been in my schools jazz band for 2 years, done rifle club the last 2 years, I've been in FBLA club for 3 years, I was in the math team, I gave guitar lessons. The only problem was that I did not do community service. I am out of state and I am Hispanic first generation college student. What could affected their decision? my SATs weren't that low I saw on college board that I scored about the average</p>
<p>My guess would have to be your SAT scores. One rep told my school they only look at the two sections so the 1070 is just a little low for UMass.</p>
