I Got In

YAAAAAAAY I GOT INTO ST GEORGES

.....but i dont know if im gonna go or not

ahh this is a hard decision

CONGRATULATIONS!! :)

What other schools were you accepted to? Will you be going to the revisits?

congrats! Well done.

Mucho congratulations-o!

Congratulations! This was a hard-fought victory for you! Go to the revisit. You have a little time to make your decision.

prepchick, I remember you from last year. Glad you gave it another try! You certainly earned your spot. My son is looking at St. Georges for next year's application. What a spectacular campus!

congrats - st g was the first school i was well acquainted with. i "summered" in newport and as a middle schooler, was infinitely jealous of the campus (the buildings on the hill look like Gotham City and tower over us while we surfed), and of my cousin who attended in the summer while i was at home, bored! SGS is really small and the culture is distinct.. the kids i meet from SGS have a certain air to them that the other schools don't. it's neither good nor bad.. some people refer to it as St. Gorgeous because of this. my cousin has lots of friends from there (mostly guys) and this is the SGS "look":

Rainbow sandals
blond shaggy hair
ribbon belts
well worn khaki shorts
surf t-shirts

everyone surfs and sails.

seriously.. it's different from most schools. i didn't end up applying.. i feel it's too small for me..anyway, my point is, it's a unique school and you need to get to know the culture before you enroll.

Thanks, blairt, for the description. My son is the exact opposite! He looks more like....baseballson!

@ baseballmom: Cool! Your son will be a hooked applicant! (of sorts)

D'yer--he's a republican, to boot, but he'll leave that out of the essay.

hahah thanks so much!! well thats good cause i surf and sail!! it is a very unique school, and that uniqueness is what drew me into applying. it was the only school i applied to, and i will be revisiting in april.

I think you should go, prepchick. It seems like a great school for you.

i didn't mean everyone was liberal.. actually, i wouldn't be suprised if there was mroe red than blue. they're not "hippies", but used to the sea culture.

Congratulations!

hah yes they are very beachy and laid back, which is perfect cause thats exactly the type of person i am. when i visited for my interview, the students looked exactly like my friends at home, and the ones i spoke to reminded me of all my really close friends.
