I got in!!

Got in, Mechanical Engineering with a CSU GPA of 4.36, 1280 SAT, AP Classes...still have to decide between CP:SLO and Purdue (still waiting on Carnegie Mellon)

hey
I have 1430 on the sat
And 800,800 ,800 on mathIIc, phy and chem SAT II,and 610 in writing.
But i got "Conditional Adimission" to Calpoly, what does this mean?
Does anybody have the answers to these questions.

Conditionally Accepted, as far as I know, means that you have been accepted and havent yet signed a letter of intent, most of the people I know, that have been accepted, recieved the same title.

"conditionally accepted" is the same thing as all other schools saying "accepted", but then saying later in the letter that you still need to maintain a satisfactory gpa, pass all your classes, etc. Cal Poly just puts it out there as being really import. It is conditional to the fact that you need to graduate and what not, but you need to do that for all colleges.

yay lots of people getting in. i got in! yayyyyyyy i'm kind of amazed since i live in hawaii. but oh well, i'm not going to attend

it's true, you are in, but with conditions! If you do not maintain your GPA, if you fail to submit your final transcripts from your school at the end of the school year (or THEY forget to submit them...) your "conditional acceptance" can be revoked. So don't let senioritis get you, and get your final transcript request in to your school now. You will be enjoying SLO in the fall! From a mom who has been there, has a kid who is there, and has one more who hopes to get there next year...

What are the conditions for transfer applicants?

check your "my poly" page, what ever it says is missing must be completed, this may be as simple as completing your SIR (student intent to register) or may include transcripts etc... make sure you meet housing deadlines if you want to live on campus. Or start looking NOW off campus!

Great town, great campus, great programs

Is anyone going to "PolyCultural Weekend" on April 1??

I heard they just turned away about 17000

I got in as a civil engineering transfer student. Was just wondering if anybody knew if I would end up being denied admission for withdrawing from History which I'm taking this semester?

I got an 1120 and a 3.1. I have no idea why I got in lol

got in with 4.2 into Nutritional Science.

accepted for architecture

GPA: 4.21
SAT: 1330
ACT: 31

christ, what department?

I didn't apply to cal poly, but I actually regret it very much. I live in SLO and love it! If I hadn't grown up here and didn't have this crazy thirst for independence Cal Poly would have been my absolute #1 choice. It's a perfect balance of academics and fun and it's absolutely gorgeous. Anyhow, congratulations to all!! Go 'stangs!

electrical engineering....

whaaa???? EE? whoa, you must be very lucky...

is there anything interesting besides you besides gpa/sat?

also, does cal poly care if your parents went there? both of mine did..
