I got into Georgetown! But can i pay for it?

Hey everyone!

I got into Gtown early action and I am so excited. It's my absolute dream school and I would love to send my deposit in right now.

However, I need to know how much money they will offer me. I know they claim to meet 100% financial need, but I want to know if their idea of 100% is my parents' idea of 100%. Does anyone know if Georgetown is good with giving financial assistance? I really really want to attend.

Also, a very close family friend claims to know somebody on the board and said they will write to them telling them about me and how I can really only go if I get sufficient financial aide. Will this help?

I am by no means poor. I live in an upper-middle class community, but my family isn't exactly the richest family either. I have no idea what my dad makes, but it's not very bad. It just can't afford 52,000 dollars a year. Will I get the money?

Well they WILL meet 100% of your financial need, but the problem lies in how much you will recieve in grants/scholarships.

Your financial package will "probably" break down like this:

52000 - EFC (use a calculator)

Then you will probably recieve about 23000 (that's the avg amount ppl recieve at Georgetown) in grants/scholarships. The rest of the $ will be in work-study and loans probably.
