Swarthmore has been my top choice for a while... but I got waitlisted there and accepted at Harvard. Go figure. I'm not sure which I would choose yet, given the choice. (Yes, the "Why the $2!k wouldn't you go to Harvard if you've been accepted?" question is annoying.)

Until I hear if I'm off the waitlist it basically seems to be between Harvard and Williams -research university vs. small LAC, I know.

oh gosh you guys are such snobs

basically my philosophy is you get to a school that's prestigious and you choose it because it suits your intelligence, provides you with opportunies, and the very fact that you want to be a part of it

what's the chance of getting in if you're waitlisted from harvard or princeton? in the end, do waitlistees get to go? does anyone know any cases where this has happened and when they found out?

"same here, I got into Harvard but i'm thinking Oxford instead. they have a better medical program... well that's good for the people who are waitlisted"

As an anxious member of the giant Harvard waitlist, I'd like to say that I love you. :)

@HisDudeness: I know exactly how you feel ;)

Getting into H is like getting into MIT, sort of. You get to cross-register as well as interact with all the MIT kids down the block. So, I'm not disappointed with my MIT rejection anymore lol

But, uh, I don't see how the yield will be any less than 85% this year.

chose princeton over harvard

I got waitlisted harvard my #1 dream school. To all admits - feel free to go somewhere else if other schools fit your needs better. :)

well....i am leaning towards mit now..but it all depends on how well harvard will be able to attract me next week when i visit
