I Got Into Uci!

another day of mystery :(

duuuuuuuuuuuuudeee i havent received anything from them this kinda scares the hell outta meeeeeeeeeeee!!!

LOL... Don't worry UCI is pretty easy to get in...(if your CA resident)

dood i've never gotten into a university beforeeeee, this is tense

afasdfklfjd I KNOW!!! well i got into univ when i was in hs.... but still!!! THIS IS INTENSITY!!!

i filed my research fellows application today...hopefully that'll speed things up?

(or slow things down because now theres more to evaluate....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES)

Lol... you guys are overreacting... Is UCI your first choice?(If, yes it make sense)

LA all the way here..

but in HS I didn't get in anywhere, so I need uci as validation!

im in the same boat as poppin

i didnt get into any UC so im in the same boat too!!!!

For those of you who have already been accepted into UCI...did you find out that your status had changed via email, and THEN you logged in and saw you were accepted? Or did you not get an email and you just happened to log in and found out you were accepted?

Reading about people here logging in and checking everyday, sometimes even multiple times per day, made me think of this question.

Accepted! I didn't log in every day or anything. An email was sent to me saying that my status changed. Logged in and saw I was accepted...though the acceptance page isn't very flashy, so I had to pause for a bit. I noticed SIR before the actual "You have been accepted!" graphic.

Anyway, I'm an English major with a GPA of 3.9. That'll probably change after this quarter... ;; All requirements should be completed prior to transfer. Oh, and according to the email, at 3 AM. I submitted my application at pretty much the last minute (no extensions), but I submitted my update fairly early, I guess? Don't remember when...

hmm, 3AM seems to be the typical time for notices...

time to work some compulsive early morning checks into my schedule LOL

(j/k)

Edward04 - The email only states that your application status has changed and to check your my.admissions. Then you get all nervous as your computer loads the site... THEN you get accepted.

Will they send email to applicant if he is rejected?
(even though it said in the email that your admission status has changed?)

Thanks Lord Darwin,

I was asking because of all the noobs logging in multiple times a day when they should probably be waiting for the email first...then logging in.

I don't get it, but I am also an older/returning student so maybe it's just me. O_o

dreamspace - Probably.

The email comes first (at least from UCI), so yeah, it is kind of pointless to keep logging in all the time.

I was thinking of the same thing.. I just didnt want to say it. But I'm glad someone did.

its not that were noobs......it more like we want to beat the email and find out lol........

dgbuy4eva,

lol. I just see it as one of those things like "a watched pot never boils" or constantly checking the clock during your most boring class. It just makes it take longer! In my case, it's best not to think about it and to occupy myself with something else (which begs the question...what am I doing on this forum? lol)

m3pwr,

In this context, what I really meant by "noob" was age...but yes, I do find it silly. But trust me, I do understand the excitement! :)

Good luck to all!
