I got into UCLA...

will I get into Berkeley?

It's rumored that it's harder to get into LA than Cal, even though rankings-wise Cal is better than LA. I wasn't accepted into the UCLA Honors Program or an impacted major or anything, but is it unwise for me to assume that I'll get into Berkeley (same major within L&S)?

I just can't wait until the 30th! One more week you guys...

and if it means anything to you, my stats are here. or just go to prstat*s dot com and search for my username. (minus the astericks..)

Im in the same situation as you, I got into UCLA Engineering and am waiting for Berkeley. I want to get into Berkeley and Im hoping that getting into UCLA is a good sign.

La is not easier to get into than Cal, and Cal in not easier to get into than LA (except for certain majors). Unless you're trying to get into Engineering at Cal (sorry tiversx) the two school are almost the same as far as selectivity.

haha i'm waiting likewise...hoping admission to LA = admission to cal T_T

Same as everyone else here, "hoping admission to LA = admission to cal".

I guess we'll know soon enough.

I can't seem to put a link correctly, but my username on the PR Board is Neo Yoyo.

admission to LA does not mean admission to CAL

hey chicgeek, are you a transfer student? If so..how did you find out already? I'm so jealous!!

"hoping admission to LA = admission to CAL"

"admission to LA=admission to CAL"

dangerous

Not really. I'm fine with not getting into Cal.

Though it'd be great if I did.

I'm not a transfer student.. I'm a regular in-state freshman applicant.

I've been accepted to both, so it's possible!

(I know about Berkeley already because I am a Regent's Candidate)

is it possible to still be accepted to berkeley after getting rejected from ucla?

"is it possible to still be accepted to berkeley after getting rejected from ucla?"

Yes.

if you makes you happy that admssion to La = admission to CAL.....then you are living in a fantasy world.

Ditto with mosharma134. It's not a for sure guarantee. =)
