<p>If you didn't see it, Stanford clearly states that it will not increase aid to match another school's merit aid. It will, however, re-evaluate your situation (even take into consideration additional factors) to see whether aid should be increased.</p>

<p>No, because Harvard and Yale do the exact same thing as Stanford. It's naive to think that Stanford is the only one to do the above or that each university isn't interested in attracting the best students. Harvard and Yale will increase aid to 'steal' students away from other schools as well.</p>
<p>So no, their aid isn't "CLEARLY superior." Stanford has excellent aid, as do HYP.</p>
