or until they kick you off the waitlist which probably wont happen to me since i'll be outright rejected

If I don't get a likely letter, can I still get in?

Ofcourse. A likely letter is sent only to a handful of applicants. The majority of applicants get in without having received a likely letter.

I suspect Yale is now sending "likelies" to far more than a "handful".

hehe! looks like basketful would be a better term than handful. 5 years hence, no one will EVER get a likely letter coz i bet ivy admissions will become rolling. Then they won't have have to do everything so slyly.

hey. for the people who got likely letters, is yale offering to transport you to yale for a few days in april to get to know the school? if so, when will this occur? I need to know b/c I have to turn in a commitment card for the visiting program to another college by April 1st and I don't know if I will have heard from Yale by then.

Thanks :)

So do only RD applicants get likelies? or do EA ppl too?
Also, could ppl who got in post stats? thx! :)

I think only rd people would get it because deferred people would have been accepted

who do they send likelies to...athletes? extraordinaires?

athletes urms major legacies and extraordinaires
