I got my Penn email!

Just kidding...

WHEN DO WE GET THEM?

I know, after RD people get in, but I mean... we aren't going to get them on the 31st I'm guessing. Does anyone know when people got their emails from years past? Coincidentally I just missed out on a train ticket discount because I didn't have a college.edu email address, whereas my friend taking the same train already got her Duke email... but that's beside the point. I want my email address because I'm overly excited, and annoying as shown by this topic's name.

And how much freedom do we get with designing them? I heard that it's some version of your name@school.upenn.edu?

you’ll get them in may probably

and it’s [up to 8 characters which should probably be your name, can include a number]@[sas/seas/nursing/wharton].upenn.edu

Thanks, that was a quick/easy help.

if you get into a dual degree program which school email do you get? (or both :D)

yep you get both

if you’re not in wharton and take a wharton class that requires webcafe access (as most do), then you’ll get a wharton class account that includes a wharton.upenn.edu mail forward

this means that while you can’t log into wharton webmail, mail sent to [you]@wharton.upenn.edu will be automatically forwarded to [you]@[sas/seas/nursing].upenn.edu - and you can can configure your mail client to send as @wharton

so it’s practically the same as having a wharton email

i already have one :). but thats b/c im special and have had one for two years.

^ cud not understand that.
