I went to check the mailbox, and found a No. 10 sized envelope from UChicago. I woke up before I had a chance to read it.

Next, I was in analysis lecture, getting back my midterm. I was worrying over the dream I had the previous night. Then, my cell phone rang during class, which was my HS guidance consular hearing rumors about me getting rejected. In contrast to the dreams of the previous night, this therefore must be real, I thought. I was numb for a while. I went home and took a nap, so I could feel better when I would wake up.

When I woke up from the nap, I realized that the analysis lecture was a dream. I went to check my email for any news on UChicago decisions, and sure enough, the rejection email came. But this time, I wasn't going to be fooled by being in a dream. I checked my perceptions, and did some meta-thinking, and decided it wasn't a dream. Fate had finally arrived.

But then my alarm clock rang.

Next week, when my rejection letter actually arrives, I'll be desperately trying to figure out whether I'm in a dream or not. Sadly, from previous experience, I know I really can't determine.

kezyxes, If you like artsy movies, rent " The Science of Sleep". It is a french movie with Gael Garcia Bernal ( also from "Amores Perros", "La Mala Educacion", "The Motorcycle Diaries", "Y tu mama tambien" ------- Gael is a very cute young mexican actor!!) Anyway, your dream is like the movie....It won several awards and it was nominated at Sundance, Toronto, etc.

You may enjoy the surreal experience ( the average hollywood movie lover wont last thru the first 15 minutes.....) No offense to those please......

if it makes you feel better, dreams usually predict the opposite of what would actually happen. So actually, good dreams!!!! I don't have any dream this week, I really wish I have a rejection dream...

Ahh, I totally can't even imagine what you guys are going through (I'm a junior) ... I had a similar dream sequence last night, but only about getting into Boy's State! It must be EXCRUCIATING! Perhaps its a good sign though I got into Boys state, so maybe you'll get into Chicago!

D and I watched this last week, and I dreamed I was riding a gray velvet pony. I was checking this website as we are planning to visit UChicago in April, and now I am afraid I will be dreaming of grey velvet gargoyles or such...sorry, I digress...back to trip planning.

It could be good luck rather than bad to have such dreams! i dreamt 5 times in one night that i didn't make the intel sts semifinals, but needed but being a finalist.
sometimes you never know :D

Glad some of you have watched the movie! My sister also had the pony dream..Funny, since this is more like the ending..By the way..decisions come out today also for Uof C?
