Hello, so I just got waitlisted at Connecticut College a top school of mine. I was wondering if anyone knows how many people they typically accept off of the waitlist. I love the school so much and I’m trying to stay positive but I am thinking they won’t take too many others because it’s such a small school. thank you for any replies!

@pinkleopard22 Make sure you send them a note of continued interest right away and let them know it’s your first choice! You have some good options in hand already too!

I suspect you could get in from WL this year. Send a LOCI now and update it towards the end of April, explaining why you are a fit for the school, along with any updates of acheivements. Have your counselor send in an updated grade report. Make it clear that it’s your top choice and you will attend if accepted.

You can look up the Common Data Set data for the past few years to see how many students have been admitted off the waitlist. For the past five years, between 31 and 73 students have been admitted. However, that represents between 14.5% and 6.6% of those who accept a place on the waitlist.

@JOJOJames Oh, good luck then! For my case, I will surely stay in my country if I am not offered acceptance to either ConnColl or Gettysburg. (I am an international applicant.)

I am an international student, too! They told me I have to response before May 8, which means there will probably be some new places later. Keep patient and hope you receive an ideal offer:)@moroccan99

I guess they haven’t started reviewing the waitlist applications because they asked me to send a missing item.

@appfast No, I declined their offer(mostly due to financial reason).

Did anyone hear from Conn Coll yet, or know when they will start to announce the decisions?

yeah i got off the waitlist before may 1 like april 20 and I ended up committing however I think they are sending out more acceptances after may 1

They just sent me an email that they can’t accept me off the wait list…did anybody else receive a similar email
