<p>i went to gatech after i got deferred, and later rejected from cornell, and im starting to think im glad i got rejected from cornell. yes this school is hard, and the ratio holds, but i seem to have found my place, and so can anyone else. the fraternity scene is good if your interested (if your not i strongly recommended you check it out anyway). this school is well recognized among top companies. i went to a cmpe and cs career fair, amd, intel, nvidia, ibm, microsoft, pixar, cisco and more were all there eager to hire gatech students. the coop programs is great. if anyone wants to know anything else email me, <a href="mailto:MLehrer@gatech.edu">MLehrer@gatech.edu</a></p>

<p>sakrei, thanks for your insight. My S wants to go into video game development. He's looking for a program where he gets a good CS foundation but also some exposure to VG programming, design, productions, etc. Do you know much about such oppotunities at GaTech?</p>

<p>I had heard that several of the VG companies recruit at GaTech as well. Do you know if you saw any of them at the career fair you went to? What about co-op opportunities with them?</p>
