How can I survive at college if I HATE studying!!! like i absolutely cannot stand it!! i will be a third year but honestly have BARELY "studied" for the classes i have taken thus far (reflects on my gpa) but honestly, how do you guys do it!!

Take a year off. Work for a year at a minimum wage job and you’ll learn to like studying really quickly. OR . . . . . .
You may not be a college person. Do yourself a favor and consider dropping because if you hate it now, you will hate your career choice even more.

well excuse ya’ll but first of all, i am NOT about to drop out because i’m already really far into my years at ucr, and second of all, i know what career i want, it’s just that i hate stupid exams -____________- i do not think they define our knowledge

Unfortunately we live in a society where our knowledge and potential is measured by a number that is out of 100. I agree with you in that, tests do NOT showcase the knowledge one possesses nor does it make you any less qualified for something. But, if you hate studying then that does show that you have a lower chance of learning new information for a class. My suggestion is to just simply tough it out. If you are already far into your years just do what you have been doing so far to get by. When you get out there in the job market THEN showcase yourself however you want. Good luck!

Understand college (and school in general) isn’t for everyone, but you just have to pull through. You’ve made it three years already, and assuming you haven’t been put on STD but just have a low GPA, you can definitely get through one more year. Of course, you definitely should buckle down to pull up your GPA to avoid getting kicked out.

It helps to meet people in your classes to study together…you’ll be able to focus better with the right people around you. It’s college, and your parents (or you) have surely paid a load of money for it, so make it worth while and get the most out of your education.

I hated studying too (most college students don’t like studying. Heck, who even does?), but you just have to do it.
