I have a 4.0 but I'm a horrible test taker.

I've recieved bad scores on the ACT, PSAT, and PLAN tests... what am I to do?!!

standardized tests are definitely not my forte.

my mom suggested getting a tutor for the ACT which is what I will probably end up doing, but I'm so nervous. I'm so stupid.

practice makes perfect
practice practice practice & more practice:) the test itself doesn’t bite, don’t let it frighten you. the higher scorer usually are ‘familiar’ w/ the test overall format & therefore can get right down to answering the questions.

the ACT is easier for some students…more straight forward Q & many find it easier to score higher on ACT
the SAT asked more ‘puzzle / mind blogging’ Q…& suit some kids better than others:)

SAT tutoring class also help a little for my kids & make sure those classes are not the ‘money-making-who-cares-if-you-learn-anything-or-not’ type classes &
ask if the teacher cares or know about the details of the SAT questions.
Hope this helps ya:)

Try both the SAT and ACT because they test in different ways. And then, if you still don’t do well, there are schools which are test optional. [Optional List | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List - Fairtest)

Lots of kids will never do well on tests. SAT optional schools are great in these cases.

Are you a junior or senior?

What was your ACT score?

Where will you be applying?

whats your score??
