<p>Ok, here's my preidcament. I'm looking to major in Business, with intentions of continuing on to eventually get my MBA, not right out of college, but with some work experience in between. As of now, I have been accepted to Lehigh's school of Business, Villanova's school of Commerce and Finance, and Bentley's Honors Business program. I'm trying to decide out of these three right now. But my situation gets tougher. I've been waitlisted at Bucknell and Boston College (school of management). So what I'm looking for is where I should choose bewteen the three orginal schools, and if I get in, where should i go out of all five, from a career standpoint and college expereince overall. Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.</p>
<p>Lehigh's the best socially, their business college is pretty good too. I don't know much about Villa except they always send me letters. There's a whole bunch of kids in my school who might have gone to Bentley, but they got into Lehigh instead and are going there lol(Lehigh is in my area).</p>

<p>Yea, I've visted all of the places. I liked all of them, that is whats making the desicion so tough.</p>
<p>It's very easy. I was in the same boat as you except I didn't apply to Lehigh. I had to pick between Villanova Commerce & Finance, Bentley, Providence, American, Bryant, GW, Emerson and RPI. </p>
<p>I went with Bentley because it is great for business and technology, near Boston so you can go in whenever which means great social opportunities and connections, it is a fun school where you will not overwork yourself but will still get a great education, it is ranked very high for business at 57 and your in an even better situation by being accepted to their honors program. </p>
<p>When people think of Lehigh they don't think business but they think of engineering and arts & sciences. Also being in nowhere Pennsylvania doesn't help make connections or help the social life. Lehhigh is mostly all frat parties with heavy drinking </p>
<p>Villanova is good. It is near Philadelphia so connections will be easier to come by and social life will always be decent. Unfortunately, if you want college to be any inclination of the real world the lack of diversity at Villanova will surely not help. Also their business program is ranked 104 which is not very high at all. Overall it is a better school but if your not in their other programs then that shouldn't apply to you.</p>
<p>BC is the best academically out of all your schools. If you get in there DEFINETELY GO!</p>
<p>Hey, Lehigh isn't in the middle of nowhere - its in the Lehigh Valley, which has nearly half a million people, its an hour away from philly, 1.5 hours from NYC, and an active social campus.</p>
<p>I had an offer from Bentley, but personally thought its education was too focused on business administration, not enough economics. However, yeah, Lehigh engineering overshadows all other departments.</p>
<p>for me it was Bentley because I was after a strong business focus and wanted that to be the main marketing point of where I went since that is what I would be doing.</p>
<p>Yeah, Lehigh may not be as isolated as I previously thought but let's just put it this way I'm sure there aren't as many companies sitting in the Lehigh Valley as there are in cities such as New York, Boston and Philadelphia. Well that is supposed to be expected so I'm sure you weren't 100% the whole city rush either which is perfectly normal as everyone has their likes and preferences.</p>
<p>I would go to Lehigh if you don't get into BC</p>
<p>You should definetely go to BC if you get in. If you don't I'd say Bentley followed by Lehigh then Villanova.</p>
<p>Thanks Dunkaroo. Where did you get the rankings for busniess programs? I would be intrested in taking a look at that. Also, what are the people like at Bentley? What's the social life like, besides going into Boston?</p>

<p>The people at Bentley are nice down to earth people (unlike Babson). Many are very wealthy but you won't find the flaunting going on. Socially there is always something going on campus. A good amount of parties w/ drinking but if you don't drink you'll be fine as those who don't are not pressured. You can always go to Boston and a good thing is many people are similar (the school is very diverse) but everyone is studying something in business so you all have something in common.</p>
<p>The campus is just beautiful and extremely technology oriented so your business curriculum will be combined by learning all the new technology tricks of the trade. </p>
<p>Job placement is very highly regarded and kids get good jobs upon graduating.</p>
<p>It was a perfect combination of campus beauty, hands on technology, advanced curriculum, fun, awesome location, student body, career resources that just sold me the minute I compared all my schools ( I got acepted to many schools that you did which are considered more presitgious but I picked Bentley for the reasons above)</p>
<p>Hey Dunkaroo. Thanks for all the info you've given me so far. I know there's about a 3:2 guy to girl ratio, so I was wondering, are the girls there good-looking? I've heard at places liek Brandeis, the people aren't so easy on the eyes. Maybe I'm being mean, but I'm just being honest. And also, is it easy to get alcohol, and do a majority of people drink?</p>
<p>yeah at Bentley you can get alcohol without too much trouble. Many people do drink. I think most kids are pretty good looking based on the brochures I've been set. I'm not happy about the guy to girl ratio either but I did find a few nice ones so I'm sure there are plenty more.</p>
<p>i live about 15 minutes from lehigh, and the biggest problem is that most of its students live about 15 minutes away as well. it's also in bethlehem, pa, which has its moments, but is mostly an old mill town.</p>
<p>and at lehigh there's a whole lot of drinking going on, just watch out for the mile long checkpoints on 378 on the weekends... b/c they are there all the time.</p>
