I have my college search down to 2 choices... some 3rd party input would be nice

I visited my top two choice colleges, Arizona State University and University of Kansas. Here's what I thought

University of Kansas had a ton of nice students who were willing to help. I talked to the recruiter there and she answered all of my questions very very well. A nice girl took me on a tour of the engineering department, and I talked to current students about the projects they were doing and talked to professors and they all seemed very nice. The campus was nice and the town of Lawrence seems like a nice college town. I also was digging the idea of doing Study Abroad and they seemed to be very down for it.

Arizona State University had a ton of students, actually the most in the country. I know ASU's engineering department is ranked higher than Kansas but although the students were helpful, I liked the research they were doing as well. Although I tried calling at first the lady was very rude, but I went in person and everybody was pleseant, probably not as much as Kansas though. Tempe didn't seem as much of a college town as Lawrence was.

These were my perceptions of each school. Which one would you pick out of these two schools, given they are different from each other, I'm just talking solelyabout their Engineering departments. Kansas was much smaller but it felt a lot more tight knit while ASU had approx 4k students in their engineering department.

I guess to help out the people who want to help me out, I'm going to be entering as an Electrical Engineering major. I guess reputation is a little bit important as well, I don't think it would be everything though. Which one has a better reputation as a school and which one would you reccomend to me? If you need more information, I'll give it out as neccesary.

I’d go to whichever one felt more relaxed and overall more like a ‘college town’. It’s nice to be in a community where it’s mainly just college students and life will only be the way it is for those 4-5 years. there’s a lot of sense of belonging and school pride, and in low stress environment; most schools in the midwest are like this; I’m bias though

I lived in Phoenix for three years right after college. I met tons of rude people down there, and not surprised that you talked with a rude person at ASU. ASU is known as a party school and it’s reputation isn’t very high in many regards.

I’d do KU over ASU.

I personally would not go to ASU. (this is not an endorsement of Kansas)

I was accepted at KU, but I am still trying to decide where to go. Still, Lawrence really is a great town, and the campus is quite pretty, there is also a LOT of school pride which I love. Don’t know what to tell you about ASU…
