Amherst

Stanford
Georgetown
Bowdoin

Thanks so much, I just really have NO clue

Your scores are fine, but your activities are pretty boring. Nothing sets you apart, and Harvard professor recommendation probably won't help too much. I would say that you have small chance of being admitted to most of the colleges listed. Sorry if I offended you.

not at all, thanks for your honesty. so is this the common consensus? anybody else? Please i would really appreciate the input.

Hey, it's all a crap shoot. Apply wherever you want to go, and as long as you have a respectable, realistic backup, then go ahead and shoot for those schools. You sound like a decent candidate.

If you want to up your odds a little, try to get involved in something interesting. Maybe you could teach kids piano? You seem to be pretty good at that :) .

If you apply to Stanford, they don't look at your first year grades aren't considered. Below are links to where you can see profiles and stats of other students who got into those schools. There are a lot of statistics for Stanford and some of the other schools.

I would say your shot is good, the URM status will boost you, but I agree with jinlee: the EC's are a bit boring.
Chance me back? My thread's a bit below yours on here.
