i just fell in love with yale...

....why, oh why, did i apply harvard SCEA? :(

That's Why I Chose Yale - YouTube

Classic mistake…
But really, I guess apply RD. Yale claims SCEA doesn’t make a difference. Also, Harvard is fairly similar to Yale in most of the things mentioned like the residential colleges/houses, the activities outside the classroom, and the academics. It is not exactly the worst college either.

Um, the original needs to be viewed together with this spoof:
[OnHarvardTime's Channel - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/user/OnHarvardTime#p/a/97E1110667323339/2/RYRF5-zdY8Q)

Actually, the gritty scene was filmed entirely in Harvard :-). The Yale campus is much nicer than Harvard Yard.

oh the Yale video was nicely done! (I spot a Sam Tsui! ^^) It looks like a lot of fun.
and oh the irony, the Harvard one was filmed on Harvard lol although overall I found it kind of to bad taste (even as a spoof).

Yea, I saw the spoof, which made me all the more disappointed.
Yale looks amazing, while Harvard looks like…well, you know.

I only chose Harvard SCEA because the supplement was short LOL. In retrospect, that was probably not the best thing to base my decision off of. Oh well. Fingers crossed for Yale RD and that the midyear report won’t screw me over gahhh.

Princeton and Yale U-Grad, Harvard and Stanford P-Grad (imo) - of course it depends what department/sports/fit etc. etc. but a lot of people feel that Princeton and Yale offer/foster a better undergraduate experience.

Wow, thanks for sharing the video!

Though it clearly emphasizes the vibrant arts/music culture on campus, there doesn’t seem to be a lot about scientific studies at Yale… hm.

@Melodique- Thank you for that comparison (I think/hope you were referring to me). But I did not know who he was so I googled him and now am obsessed with him and Yale even more haha.

Please don’t fall in love with…a college. Save your love for a real person.

Don’t fall in love just yet, it’s better to do that when you know which ones like you! :)

Also, Yale is specacular. However it is true that New Haven, especially Eastern New Haven, is basically a scaled down and slightly milder version of Detroit or Saint Louis. There are many more homeless people than California or UC Berkley too. However the Yale Campus itself is clean  just next-door to the danger zone… do NOT walk to/from the airport!

I think New Haven gets a bad rap. It’s really not that bad, as the students populate a lot of it. My daughter used to run alone in the area (during the day) and never had a problem. In fact, in all four years, she never had any issues re homeless people or crime, and she and her friends went off campus quite often. I personally think Berkeley is worse for crime. (UCLA, in Westwood, actually a very upscale area- so no fair comparing with that campus.)
Harvard and Yale have very different vibes. Harvard is much more serious- it feels heavier. Yale is lively. It’s really hard to see why that is, because the students themselves are not that different–in fact, they’re the same cohort. There’s something about the institutions themselves, their history, their emphasis, that distinguishes them from one another, but it’s hard to put your finger on why.

haha, don’t worry guys, I have absolutely no expectations :D
