i just got my financial aid

and my parents will not be able to pay the amount set:

has anyone appealed there letter of financial aid...

We probably will. 0 doesn't seem like enough, honestly.

0 being the number u have to pay, or the amount of aid u received?
had anyones appeal been approved?

That's what we're getting. We're going to be paying quite a bit more than that.

Unlessss.......

No, that won't work. Damn.

bumppppp anyone appeal and get it approved

Tranorix - I'm in the same situation as you.

appeals are hard - i know plenty of people who have tried and failed. sorry. unless your parent's taxes will be very different in 2004 from 2003, it'll be hard.

How should I appeal to them? by phone call or letter?

My dad appealed via email I believe. At the time he was out of a job but that wasn't reflected in his tax forms (which were based on the previous year's earnings) so Cornell threw an extra $6000 in grants our way. I think you have to have a valid reason.

I still haven't received my financial aid package... should I call them?
