I just got my likely letter today!!!!!!

here we go.....................

lol this should be fun

good question - what DO you see? lol

that was for stanmaster, what do you see on the login page for Dartmouth when you check your decision online?

well you know it's true... everyone's been declaring likely letters as a way of snagging high scorers, and he is clearly the lowest-scoring person on this board to recieve a likely. if his race was not factored in, he obviously would not have received a letter- and that's a fact.

Congrats! =)

This is why I will NEVER post my stats on this site.....no matter how high my scores are, there will be some bitter person who has higher stats and will yell "Reverse discrimnation!". It is a valid argument, but you don't really know anything about stanmaster besides his standard list of stats so I think you better slow your role. If Dartmouth really wants you, you WILL get accepted!!!!!!! If not you won't. Nobody can steal your spot at D-Mouth if they never had a spot for you in the first place. Of course, all of the likely letters have not been sent out so my advice is to CALM DOWN.........

ugh I am writhing with jealousy... I want a likely soooo much!

But anyways, congrats, stan! :D

i second king
but still, what do you see stanmaster on dartmouth website ?

It says the exact same thing as it always did on the status page that my app is complete and thats it. jesseo im just going to ignore you and hope to god i dont have to go to school with someone like you. please everyone just forget his comment and dont start another affirmative action debate. i know i worked hard to be where i am now and i also know i have faced factors that other people do not go through so i am very secure about getting in. thanks to everyone for the congrats.

thanks and cogratulations again!!

You must BELIEVE!!!!!!!!

Like in the Matrix, you must "free your mind!"

Everyone, we must BELIEVE!

Sorry guys, I just finished watching Matrix Revolutions................

Remember Calidan, you're in the Bay Area and stanmaster is in New york so it is obvious that he would get his in the mail first!

Calidan will come and he will bring Blu, Babybird, Newby, Kosuke, Aleck and all my other cyberkids with him

Awww thanks you guys... I guess there still is a chance that I could get a letter! :o lol

But I know it will all work out... and I'll be at Dartmouth next year with everyone else. :D

Thanks for the support!

Awww! <3sybbie, I always wanted a cybermom.

Stan - congratulations. Seriously. You deserve it and we're all ecstatic for you.

I don't care if cali gets a likely, he's getting in RD regardless.

But yeah...yesterday I came home and fell asleep at 4 PM, woke up this morning at 7 AM...I was so thrilled at having gotten 15 hours of sleep that I didn't even check the mail! Now I'm all ferklempt (lol!) over whether or not there's a likely with my name on it.

Honestly, though, I'm not expecting a likely. It'd just be AWESOME to have one and not have to be so angsty until April lol. Guys, March 10th! Double-digits!

oh man....i thought i got a likely letter.........but it was a letter saying that some of my financial aid stuff is missing...how depressing is that?

hhahahahaha, dude i got that missing finaid forms letter too.. i was like omfg am i rejected already.. and i open it up and i'm like "WHEW!@!"

then a couple days later i get ANOTHER freakin small envelop and i'm like o shiz.. this is it.. i'm gonna be rejected.. but then.. light decends from the heavens.. (or actually it was raining and i was gonna drive down to the city to buy a book and i threw the letter on the passenger seat for 20 MINUTES!!) so.. thin envelops do not necessarily mean that you are a REJECT.. it only shortens your life by a decade.

and...

I don't think that is depressing at all. It may actually be a good sign as usually once a person has been admitted their package goes to financial aid. First of all Being a need blind school does not need your FA information to make an admissions decision. At this late stage (3 weeks until April 1) the school would have no need to validate or obtain complete financial aid information from students they are not offering admission to because with over 1600 RD finanical aid packages to put together it is not a good utilization of their time.

I will share something with you- this time last year, a number of schools (including Dartmouth) were asking us for additional financial aid information and when April rolled around she got an acceptance from all of those schools. Daughter is now a happy 08 in Hanover. Keep your head up. I think this is good. you will just have to let the process play it self out.

oh, how rude of me on my last, post, i forgot to say "congradulations stanmaster :)"
