There is NO price for being “happy”. U Chicago is a phenomenal school but its not for everybody.

However, dont let FINANCES dictate whether you LIKE a school or not. MONEY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LIKING A SCHOOL.

It has to do with YOUR SOUL. Who you are and what you want and so forth.

While “personal fit” is EXTREMELY important, its also important that you dont just replicate high school in college and hang out with the same gang. Sometimes a UNIQUE experience is PRECISELY what a person needs to learn how to grow up, mature personally and academically and socially.

I would GIVE U Chicago a DECENT try. And I mean TRY hard. Dont over react to the first few weeks of “adjustment” and start filling out applications for transfer. If however by January you are CERTAIN its not you, then go ahead and transfer.

But buckle down in school while there, make friends, and be OPEN MINDED.

Cold feet is a bit of the norm this time of year. Consider that…you are NOT alone.

REACH OUT to people at U Chicago. Its NOT all nerds.
