I just wanted to start a thread for all us who have submitted our apps. The easy part is over, the waiting is the hardest part :)

I applied to the College of Management and I am OOS.

What major did you all apply for??

Applied this past monday to the College of Computing and am also OOS. Naviance data says my chances are pretty good but that doesn’t mean that much. I felt a great relief fall off of my shoulders though once I pushed the submit button. Good luck to you and everybody else who post in here.

Thanks!!! Good luck to you too!

how were your essays…I am still working on 2 of them simultaneously. Havent looked at the application in detail, are there are any short essays reqd?

There is only 1 essay. You choose between two prompts. I would say mine are good, I think they are above average

Yep, I applied early notification and I’m really nervous for November 20th when the decisions are going to be announced. My essay was decent I think, it was about my community service I’ve done and how important it is to me. I applied to the College of Engineering for Computer Engineering. Good luck to everyone!

I wonder why they wait to announce everyone at the same time. Previously, they would review your application as it came in, would make a decision, then would mail back acceptance letters. I don’t see the value in waiting.

If people know there is one date, then they will (usually) patiently wait for that date. If they think they could get the news any day, then they will call/email to ask if today is their day.

DS sent in his application for early notification. Interested in Civil Engineering (and the marching band). It’s a bit of a reach, but we’ll just have to see.

Good luck to everyone!
