I just took the Oct sat!

freefree, same here. Wasn't the prevalent device flashback?

I believe that section was the equating, descartes, since I did not have it.

Does anyone have any idea as to which math section was equating?

what was the prevalent device for the african passage?

I said generalization. It doesn't sound like a device that one would want to use, but it's what I said.

sorry dio, you guys are just really quick posters!

it's not a flashback because he is not recounting a tale or an anecdote. under no circumstances does the author allude back to a particular time period. so that wipes out flashback. appeal to emotions? that's not correct either because although the author uses vivid language to delineate the excerpt, if you manage to read "between the lines," you'll realize that it's not pathos. the author does, however, incorporate a lot of metaphorical language.

For the Mona Lisa, did anyone get author one would most likely add "her profile" to author 2's description? Btw, my essay was not the one about cooperation for success. Was secion 3 or 6 the writing experimental?

For the african reading passage, doesn't he use generalization to convey his point?

I agree doodie. As for Mona lisa I said "her smile".

which math section was experiemental?
I chose flashback because the author kept recounting how he had seen the clouds and all those elements with such interest, but I guess metaphorical seems correct. IS it possible to get 1 wrong for cr and still get a 100 on this curve?

wasnt the prevalent device scholarly analyses? the whole essay was like that

"her smile" was not an option.

the answer is her profile

dont be misled by movie titles such as mona lisa smile :)

mark19, I think you'll get at least a 100 no matter how badly you did.

I put personal anecdotes but that was one question I was very unsure of.

her mouth was an option

Crap...it was "her profile"? I put her mouth (thought it meant her smile) lol.

Oh well, already have a 730 in CR which I am already happy with so don't care if I do badly on this CR.

I thought the answer was "her smile"...author one had one sentence -

"And then don't forget her smile". It was by itself, a whole sentence indented from the rest of the paragraph.

Or mouth, whatever.

I'm fairly sure this is right.

thecalccobra i think the answer is E. im 100% sure, A B C were all + while D E had -

It wasn't the profile, it was the mouth

ack! i put her mouth. why would it be her profile? can someone explain?
