you are the perfect candidate for exeter

The well rounded student is a myth, koreanme. As opposed to a student who does everything and does well in absolutely everything, they want someone with clear passion and direction who is good enough in other aspects as well. It is so important to stress your passions. There are tons of applicants out there who will have a 4.0 GPA and be in tons of gifted classes/programs, and be in every EC under the sun. After you've read the 100th application in a row that fits that description...they don't stand out.

I do know how you feel about your scores, however, mine were reversed: 98th percentile in Reading, 94th in Writing, and 46th in Math -- but there is more to someone than a test score. So many other aspects go into admission. So chin up, man! Be an optimist.

I'm still not sure...
A lot of people told me that I will have almost no chance at all with ssat score lower than 80 especially when I'm Korean/Asian.
Also, I have another question... If someone is bad at English, they will get a lower score than someone who is bad at math because English covers two sections... Would the schools consider that fact?

Ya well if someones bad in math there is a huge possibility of literally failing the section with not even THAT many wrong (especially if your a guy). It will probably equal out

Well...
If this guy is really good at English but not so much math, assuming his percentile would be
reading 95
verbal 95
math 40,
i believe the average would be at least 80
but if this guy is really good at math but really bad at english, his score might be like
math 99
reading 40
verbal 40
and this will be like 60~70

In my opinion (if you don't like reading random babbling, stop here) the reason that verbal ability affects two sections instead of just one like math, is that it has a greater impact on day to day life. Therefore, it should have a greater impact on testing. Also, if math were to affect two sections, what could they be? I suppose there could be an algebra and geometry section, but wouldn't people end up just averaging them together anyways?

oh darn...
so the schools wouldn't consider the fact that english covers two sections...
ah
now I think I really have no chance

Why not skip High School altogether and go straight to MIT?

Stop being so rude; her concerns are legitimate to me. If she were my child, I would feel like all she did was math. I don't think that scoring a 99% in math and being a mathalon champ is rounded enough. True, you should be passionate and involved in something...in this case, I think there should be excellence in sport, the arts, or some major outreach. Not saying her chances are slim, I think she definitely has a shot, but not a shoe-in by far.

Thanks
I definately have passion for music and sports but I don't have that much experience :(
One more question
Would Toefl cover my bad SSAT score?

^^ I agree. That's what I was trying to say in my first post on here also.
