I know that chances aren't accurate but i just want a rough idea on where I stand

SAT: 1410/1600: 750 math, 660 English (took it again for the December test date, but I’m not sure if admissions will accept that)

ACT 33 english, 33 math, 23 reading, 29 science. One time score

SAT IIs: 790 math II , 620 physics (had not yet taken AP Physics)

GPA: 3.2x uw, 3.47 w (extenuating circumstances in 9th grade which I wrote about in the personal statement)
-got a 2.2 freshman year, 4.0/4.8 sophomore, 4.5/4.8 junior,

Other stats: Pretty rigorous course load junior and senior year, 5 on AP calculus AB won the schools award for top performer, 4 on AP stat, Taking AP Chemistry, AP Physics C (both M and E&M), AP Calculus BC/3, AP Psychology senior year. Took Computer Science I at the local CC in the summer before junior year and got a 4.0. Unpaid internship at a startup company - helped create an app, and volunteer at a hospital for the MRI department. And a smattering of other things

Subjective:
Essays: Extenuating circumstances that I dealt with in my freshman year that caused my GPA to be atrocious, and how I considered them learning experiences. But imo it was pretty good, showed how I matured and was ready for the next step in life.

Probably have a good chance. You’re a guy applying to engineering, so that makes your competition pretty hard. UMD is all about numbers though, so I think with your ACT and gpa (minus freshman year) you should have a good shot

“UMD is all about numbers though” That isn’t accurate. UMD is commited to a holistic review process. They will take almost 47 factors into account when reviewing an applcation.
