Why do you want to leave U of MD?

maybe UGA?

USC has everything you're looking for.

UT Austin - McCombs

UC Berkeley?

georgetown or northwestern?

Why do you want to leave Maryland?? How about UVA????

UVA would be ideal for you, imo

maybe UIUC, but not exactly urban...
JHU also, but that might be a little small for you...

lol Maryland does seem like a good place for me in a lot of ways (thats why i picked it) but I have been dissatisfied here in a lot of ways. 1. College Park isnt urban enough for me...and kind of a ****ty area. I grew up in a much more urban environment so I am just not used to it. 2. All of a sports kinda suck here right now so there just isn't much school spirit 3. The campus is pretty but unless there it is in between classes its pretty empty...which I find a little depressing 4. Academics are okay but I feel as though there is a lot of grade inflation in the business school which is a little frustrating. I feel as though my high school was more challenging in some ways. Also I have talked to several Smith School grads and they seem to think that employers aren't terribly impressed with a degree from maryland. 5. I picked the wrong scholars program which lead me to be placed in the wrong dorm during my freshman year. It was about 75% guys-- most of whom spent all day on their computer. So I haven't really been able to make very many close friends. Plus on of my closest friends here is transferring for financial reasons next semester.

UT Austin:

Urban: From campus, it's a 15-minute walk to downtown Austin.

Sports: Longhorns dominate in just about every sport. We are currently #3 in the BCS Rankings. We ooze school spirit.

Campus: With roughly 50,000 undergraduates, there is ALWAYS something going on campus. You will not feel any "emptiness" to say the least.

Academics: McCombs School of Business is 6th in the US News & World Report Undergraduate Business Rankings. Recruiters come here often.

Scholars Programs: McCombs offers BHP (Business Honors Program).
