ahah i guess i give off that 'mature 4 yr student' vibe hah (JK OF COURSE IM JK)

on a serious note, YES THE BEST THING so far for me, has been being able to take whatever the F*** i want...and just not having anybody breathe down my neck telling me what to do, where to go, etc

any of u PCCers ever tried their breakfast burrito? I heard its really good. They stuff bacon/sausage, hash brown/french fries, and scrambled egg.

Adamantine:
I haven't tried much food form PCC. But their strawberry smoothies are delicious!
There's like only two venues there to eat right? That little cafe in the middle and the other one near the student services' building.

I had a feeling you were going to say DVC. "major bay area cc" hahahaa... good times.

I came into DVC thinking it was going to be some of the worst years of my life but boy was I wrong. they were the 2 worst.

kidding ;)

I came in and realized that community college should not be this necessary evil where everyone gets in, gets out and gets on with their lives. while you definately need to get on with your life-- enjoy your time there! I quickly got involved with student government (looking for something interesting to do)and while it is a generous time committment-- it was one of the best decisions i had ever made. I spent 1 year as a regular voting board member on ASDVC (associated students of diablo valley college) and was elected parliamentarian for the 2nd. With student government, you take part in shared governance sitting on campus and district committees where decisions that impact students are being made left and right. Just as an example; last year, the students put through a proposal for student health services for the district (a fundamental student service offered on many campuses, which until now was not offered at the contra cost community college district) dvc (lmc&ccc) will be providing these services to students begining fall '07.

anyway... sorry about the longwinded ASDVC sales pitch but I'm encouraging EVERYONE to get involved on campus in some way to avoid looking back on their 2 year experience as a waste. and it should be an "experience". If student government is not something you want to do, consider joining a club and getting involved inthe interclub council. Look out for major-related internships. and have a good time.

let me know if you have any asdvc or campus-involvement questions!
