I Love Community College

what does being in california have to do with anything? i attended a CC in california and i couldn't stand it.

ooh awesome

some of you cali people are spoiled with your good weather.. haha.

try living on the east coast for a bit. you'll hate it.

i actually kinda wanna go east when i transfer (tired of sunny cali)

i like cold weather
i hate cali's summer time its just annoying and makes me sweat for no reason

Maybe he/she means we're lucky because CA has an awesome transfer program to the UCs. =)

i actually like the cold weather, so i wouldn't mind living on the East Coast. But i might take that back considering how cold it gets here in Cali, is probably nothing at all compared to the East Coast

if i do go east, i can definitely overclock my computer higher without going water or phase cooling =P

i'd love to go to school on the east coast but the schools that i could get into over there are sub par compared to the schools i got into in california.

i think what she (may have)meant is that there is no other state in the country with such a huge emphasis/investment in community colleges. even though our funding is in a sorry state, we have the lowest tuition (compared to many other states) and many programs geared towards getting students graduated/transferred. the California Community College system is the largest system of higher education in the world (110 colleges & 3.5 million students).

oh... and the weather isn't too shabby ;)

I miss the east coast though...

yes veralyn, i totally agree.

also, i don't know about other states, but in NJ, most students at CC don't even think about transferring. they basically go to cc because their parents make them. it's not an encouraging atmosphere at all. also, whoever mentioned the transfer program to the UC system.. i also totally agree. we have transfer agreements with schools that you've never even heard of.. haha. have you ever heard of rowan, stockton, and william patterson? i don't think so. the best school we can transfer into is rutgers. woohoo -_-
