I love Stanford Board

Or "when can I write my decision?"

I am not criticizing, I buy into it as much as everyone. I am hella nervous and love the convos. I just think its funny how different our topics are from the regular applicants.

I didn't think you were doing anything but joking around. : )

I wonder why the mods almost never post.

haha HOW MANY NANOSECONDS MUST WE ENDURE UNTIL WE KNOW?!?! haha jpjp :p yeah I guess we're all more concerned about the decision than the app since we already turned in the app. :D keeps calm

Only 10 days left.....

I just thought I'd say that I love Stanford board more and more every time I go to Harvard board. Everyone there is bitter, arrogant... and they make fun of me. :(

harvard? what's harvard? :)
everyone knows harvard is where the crazy people go, and stanford is where the flipping sweeet people go...
Jk, I know lots of cool people applying to harvard. but still.

"I just thought I'd say that I love Stanford board more and more every time I go to Harvard board."

Read my mind.

Haha I swear this has got to be the most random thread I've ever seen here. I think you've all touched base on just about every subject known to man. I'm in love haha <3

actually.... world peace is a subject I'd like to bring up.

j/k... well actually no, I do want world peace

lol ya. those crazy harvard board people suggested wearing a suit and tie to some guy who was gonna have an interview...I always thought interviews were to get to know the applicant as a normal person? do any REAL high school students wear suits and ties every day??

I was advised to, but I just wore sweater and jeans to my first interview, and IMO it went fine.

Imagine how many uptight people you could mess with at Harvard... Seriously, I'm sure there are loads of cool people there, but Stanford is in California, land of Sunshine, Happiness, and Arnold. West coast baby, Tupac was a prophet.

You can tell how awesome a school is by the people that use their online forums, haha.

shame on you, shaina, for doing EA to Harvard ! What were you thinking? :p

Glad I didn't do EA to Harvard.

Do you honestly want to know what I was thinking? It's kind of embarassing.

I was wary to apply anywhere ED because of my families finances and having never visited any campuses, and I thought the only school I was planning to apply to that wasn't ED was Harvard.

When I got out my Stanford apps and started filling them out, I seriously sat with my jaw open, shocked and frustrated. It was so horrible. I probably would have applied to Stanford SCEA if I had known. It would have saved me from the losers on the Harvard board, for one thing...

lol ya ED is scary!! for me at least.

I've only officially visited one campus (Cornell :-/) [and trekked through Harvard and MIT often since I live nearby, though I'm not applying to either], because I'm too lazy to visit any more until I am accepted. I doubt that the beauty of the campus would be a major factor. And in my opinion the full-color viewbooks and (especially) the interview can provide sufficient insider's view on the school. My Rice interview certainly taught me more about the school than the impersonal Cornell visit, for example.
