Also, does anyone have any safety school ideas? I'm not too keen on applying to SUNY schools and I need some ideas.

Why do kids like you ask such ridiculous questions from people who really have no way of knowing? I mean, for kids with marginal or uncertain standing vis-a-vis the school's profile for admitted students, I can understand that. Those kids are looking for encouragement like, "yeah, I got in here with scores and grades like yours, so you have hope too." But for a kid with virtually the highest possible everything, what do you expect to find out? That Williams may not accept kids with your paltry academic background? Or is it just a way to feel good about all you've accomplished by posting it as an unanswerable question to people who have no way of knowing whether you'd actually get in or not? In that case, yeah, just feel good about it. You've done a great job. You'll go to a great school, wherever it is.

If Williams didn't take you it would only be because they have to turn down some super-high-achievers to make room for other kids bringing something different to the table, but would you be one of the super-high-achievers that got through, or one that got turned away? Who knows? How would anyone know?

Anyway, good job with all the academic and extra-curricular stuff. You are an impressive guy and no doubt will get into a first class school and make the most of that opportunity!

"Why do kids like you ask such ridiculous questions from people who really have no way of knowing?"
"^Yeah, maybe that's the very kind of thing that would get them turned away from the school of their choice: Being ridiculous."

SoOreMom

Please try not to be so negative regarding students seeking information about schools. You may not agree with them but there is no reason to insult someone and call them ridiculous. Be nice.

I would say your chances are pretty strong. Numerically, you're almost identical to what my profile looked like when I applied (class of 2008). I'm also an Asian male who came from a fairly competitive public school (fair number every year to Ivy's like Cornell/UPenn, with usually 1-2 in HYPSM). My ECs were fairly different, but I would argue that your list is more impressive than mine was. Write a killer essay. I would also recommend getting a good friend (who's an eloquent writer) to write a peer rec. I think it helped me out.

of course your chances are good...most important thing will be how you come across on the essay, interview and whther or not they have enough applicants just like you and wnat to make room for folks who bring someone else to the community.

"how you come across on the essay, interview"

Actually, an interview isn't part of the application process (and there's no system in place as with the Ivies and MIT for interviews with local alumni) -- one less thing to worry about when applying to Williams.

Sorry, OP, that I got snippy. Like I said in my first post to you, you are an impressive student and I have no doubt you'll go to a great school.
