I applied to Hunter college, and I ended up emailing them before May 1st to get update on my admissions decision, I was told their was too many applicants and that I would receive a decision post May 1st, few days later I got an email saying they stopped accepting applicants. Now two days ago I got an email from Hunter college saying “Revised Financial Aid Award Notification”
Dear Alexander,
Please be advised that your financial aid package for the 2019 academic year at Hunter College has been revised.
You can view your revised financial aid package on the Self Service screen in CUNYFirst which can be accessed through the college’s website by following these steps:
Sign into your CUNYFirst account
Click on the Student Center tab
Go to the Finances column (Right below Academics)
Select the View Financial Aid link
Select the 2019 link
The screen will display your revised financial aid package and you will have the ability at this point to accept or decline any of the aid that is listed by clicking on the “Accept” or “Decline” options displayed next to each item. Unless you accept each award, CUNY may assume that you are declining it and may cancel the award 21 days after the semester begins. Please note that certain grants, such as the Federal Pell Grant, are automatically displayed in an “Accepted” status and no further action is required.
Details on the terms and conditions of these awards are provided in the Award Letter Guide which can be accessed on the CUNY website at www.cuny.edu/financialaid. It is important that you read the brochure carefully.
Sincerely,
Financial Aid Office
