Hi, so I am currently a Junior in high school, and it is my dream to be the first female engineer in my family. However, I transferred high schools mid semester and dealt with a bunch of family problems. As a result of the stress and being behind, I ended up with a "B" in the class altogether, even though I aced the exam, knowing a lot of the concepts... I know that the application pool is getting a lot more competitive and I'm afraid that this will ruin my chances of admission. I am devastated. Do you think that I still have a chance/ is there a way to explain my situation to them??? Thanks!

NC State looks at applications holistically, so if the rest of your grades are strong and you do well outside of school, you should be fine.

I think I had a C and a couple of B’s and I got into NCSU. You shouldn’t fret too much.
