I may not enter uni because of a stupid mistake. I desperately need an adult's help

<p>You can fix this with three simple yet time consuming steps.</p>

<p>1- request the score report to each college you are applying to.
2- have your school send an “AKA” letter, i.e. certifying that the student whose name is on the application, the school transcript, and your passport is “Also Known As” (aka) the name on your college board score reports. Signed by your headmaster or whoever is the person in charge, and mailed out by your HS to each college.
3- make a phone call (not on January 3rd, more like in late January) to make sure that your application is complete and that your file has the accurate score report in it.</p>

<p>Cannot comment on colleges in your own country, but this should be sufficient to resolve the problem for US colleges.</p>

<p>Good lesson for the future. Regardless of how your friends refer to you, it will be easier for you in your adult life if you use one name as your “legal name” which matches your passport, driver’s license, credit card, etc. You will have trouble getting on an airplane in the US, for example, if the name on the ticket does not match the name on your passport.</p>
