So I was just checking my admissions ticket and my last name is incorrect!! :O and basically I'm freaking out!

I'm signed up to take the December 1st exam... I'm a high school graduate taking the ACT for the first time and I don't have any SAT scores either. All the schools i'm applying to seem to have a January deadline which I guess means that this is the latest date they'll accept.... So really I'm just screwed.

I've called the ACT contact number but given the holiday weekend, there's no one in and they won't be back till Monday...

Does anyone know if this problem is fixable?? or is there no hope?? :(

When you take the exam, you put your information EXACTLY as on your admissions ticket, even if it’s wrong. At least that’s what the proctor always says.

Do not fret - I had the same issue. My first and last name were switched and when I went to the test center I wrote my name down on the test EXACTLY as it was on the admissions ticket. I was able to explain to the lady that my name on my school ID was different than the one on the ticket because I had accidently mixed up my first and last name when registering. She was very nice about it and just told me to contact ACT the following Monday. I called them on Monday and they had me scan them my passport and they were able to fix it. However, the first score report that they send you WILL have the incorrect information; all subsequent reports sent to colleges will have the correct information.

Nonetheless, I highly recommend you try contacting ACT again on Monday and that you take care of this ASAP, before the test date if possible.
