<p>According to Darren Brown, there is a scientific explanation for how those things work... I an't remember exactly how he explained it, but it had something to do with that you can actually move the board through the power of the mind subconsciously and with a combination of people that's how the board shifts. </p>

<p>Ouija boards are made by Parker Brothers. You'd have as much luck using a monopoly board if becoming possessed is the goal.</p>

<p>Hahaa I played one once two years ago, for the most part it was true like it would answer questions and the answers made sense, but at least one of the things it said would happen when we asked it didn't come true (obviously) and then the other people were actually truly believing they were talking to a specific ghost, but I don't believe in the whole thing. Some people I talked to just said that even if you don't realize it, the people playing are moving the thing, it's not moving on its own. It really didn't feel like we were moving it at all, but yeah I don't think it's true. Now for the "real ones", who even knows.</p>

<p>My advice above is perfectly sound, though, and has been empirically verified numerous times and published in a number of peer reviewed journals. I have it on good authority that it is the only way to guard against the corrupting influences of the netherworld, and anyone who claims otherwise is obviously an incredibly odorous crank!</p>
<p>edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention, be sure to drink a vial of homeopathically distilled snake venom (any species will do). Try to avoid pure water though, or you might overdose!</p>

<p>So I went to my local cemetary (about 2 miles from my house) and sat right in the middle. it was pretty dark out, and I was a bit spooked, but i gritted my teeth and went for it. I opened up the board, laid it flat on the grass, and.....IT SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE! Yes, you heard me, it flew up in the air and freaking HIT me in the face, giving me a bloody nose. But i hung in there, because i couldn't let the demons defeat me. I put the board back down, HELD it down, and asked the question "what will I get on the ACT that I took today?" Then the pointer moved to the 0, so I was like 'huh, how?' and then the pointer moved to the letters that eventually spelt out 'Becas yu wil be ded' and then it started rapidly spinning around! The wind grew strong, i was terrified, so I grabbed the board and got the hell out of there as fast as i could. but just as I reached the cemetary exit, the GATES CLOSED!!! It wasn't a person who closed them, they just shut right in front of me, and I was trapped! I was having a heart attack, and I knew I was gonna die. However, i caughr glimpse of another exit that was not closed, so i made my way to exit, jumped in the car, and DROVE!!!!!! </p>
