I'm a senior in high school and I'm really afraid I'm going to get a D in AP CHEMISTRY. I got a low C first marking period and I have and D right now so i might get a D. I applied to many schools with nursing programs and got accepted into a bunch so far. I got into like Pitt, URI, Purdue, Drexel, Rutgers. DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD RECIND MY ACCEPTANCES? I took AP CHEM so i'd have any easier time with it in college but it is extremely difficult and it's scary. WHAT DO I DO :( Please post comments.

Well first of all kudos for taking a class that is not only challenging but also very relevant for your field of study. I’m sure that all the nursing programs will require or atleast strongly recommend a good background in chemistry, and it’s smart to prepare yourself early.

As for the D, you should try to raise your grade back up as much as you can. If you can get it back up to a C, then there’s absolutely no chance you’ll be rescinded. But even with the one D, I feel like it’s very unlikely that they’d revoke your admission.

It’s a difficult class, and it’s not like you went from Bs to Fs in several easy courses. I really don’t know tbh, but I wouldn’t stress about it. Just try to pull that grade up if you can. Maybe get a tutor, spend more time studying, watch some video tutorials, etc. You can PM me anytime as well if you have a random question (I got a 97 in AP Chem last semester). Good luck!

Thank you for the response. I’m just so nervous about it right now. and dammm congrats on that 97, very impressive. But yeah, I have a’s and b’s in my other classes and then there’s AP CHEM. I guess I just need to do everything in my power to get it to that C.

Have you tried forming a study group for the class? Studying with other people helps a lot, especially in classes like chemistry where there are a lot of terms and conversion formulas to memorize.

It depends on what level of chemistry your class is, but the Khan Academy website has a bunch of very helpful chemistry tutorial videos.

Do as much as you can to pull that grade up…study as much as you can, and maybe get some tutoring.

Those schools will not likely rescind your admission.
