ok... I think I am between Stanford and Northwestern now.

DuneBuggy, I just wanted to add something from the experience of one athlete at NU. His parents are thrilled that the school emphasizes scholastic achievement over sports. They have given him help whereever he needed it, and he is thriving there.

I don't have anything to compare to at the other schools you mentioned, but if you get a whiff that a school lets its athletes slack off and avoid the consequences, you should definitely look elsewhere, IMO.

northwestern is better at girls lax than duke!

ok... Stanford it is (95% sure... I think either way ill have a little regret)

but if I got hurt/ couldnt play lacrosse I would rather be at Stanford. It makes sense...even though it hurts.

Yale is probably better than Stanford, but I'd prefer Palo Alto over the East Coast myself, and the schools are mostly comparable either way anyway. Good choice.

Lol are you sure you want to play lacrosse at Duke??? Stanford or Yale man.

haha, yah that is what i decided... anyway i just posted like 5 min ago that i have decided to go to Stanford...

it came down to Northwestern and Stanford... and i realized the only reason i wanted NU over Stanford was for lax... and as much as it hurts for me to give up the opportunity to win a national championship play for Nu .... i think i will regret not going to Stanford more... I mean lacrosse is lacrosse... and as a team we can improve and make the tournament anywhere but i can't change the academics and social fit of the school.

Just thought you'd like a vote of confidence. I think Stanford will be a good fit for you. If not, hell, transfer! Haha.

warblersrule86,

Just so you know, Northwestern's film/tv DEPARTMENT (not certificate or concentration) is one of the best and generally considered top-10.
