I’ve had my ThinkPad Edge for a few months now. I’ve never dropped it, but I’d agree that it seems pretty sturdy. No problems so far. Only complaint is the battery life; that could be remedied with a bigger battery, but I don’t really want my battery to stick out of my laptop.

Get a MacBook Pro. I love mine so much. It is the best computer I have ever had and I have had some good windows machines. I have NEVER had an error message or a waiting thing or a non responding program. It will be well worth it

I’ve had 3 laptops in college, an acer aspire, an HP pavillion and I recently bought a macbook pro. At first I didn’t buy into the hype of mac because they are more expensive and pretty hyped, but honestly it was the BEST investment I ever made. I spent $800-900 on my HP by the time I bought kapersky and microsoft word, etc. My HP crashed 3 or 4 times and I only had it for a little under 2 years. My acer was a good value but I lent it to my sister and she broke the hinges and screen on it so it was worth buying a whole new computer instead of trying to replace it.

There are financing options available as well with mac, I got a barclay card and I don’t pay interest if I pay it off in 6 months or less which is a really reasonable time period. I also like that mac does rebates, I just got a free hp deskjet with my macbook pro.

Macbook pro is a very good laptop, as you can see from all the bickering. lol. But it’s expensive and you have to add Apple Care which is $200+ depending on the model. Overall a Mac is easy to use and the customer service is easy and efficient.

There are plenty of good Macbook-like PC’s out there. But I heard that the quality control and customer service isn’t outstanding compared to Apple’s. Personally I have PC cause I’m like that kind of techie. xD
