<p>I always wonder when teachers try to push classes and recruit students. If the teacher promotes the class enough and gets over 30 kids total, he might get a 2nd or 3rd class. I suppose that means more high level classes and maybe he doesn’t have to teach regular math class or Study hall.
I appreciate the answers about Stats having some value. (if not college prep value) Yes he would take Honor Algebra II at the same time and eventually AP Calc. his senior year. I think it shows initiative and the desire to be challenged. If you didn’t read the whole thread, our school has vals and sals that routinely take Stats and College Algebra and avoid A.P. Calc so that would make him stand out.</p>
