Hey guys, I use to go to a small liberal arts schools and I got suspended my second semster of my freshman year for alcohol charges. I then came back after serving my suspension. I was on thin ice and the adminstration had eagle eyes one me so I messed up again and I was told I would have to face the honor board. In fear of expulsion I got a lawyer and my lawyer suggester I should withdraw and transfer. I took her advice and withdrew from the school. I really want to pursue my education and the outcome from the school doesn’t potray me, I know I messed up but also I was unlucky. I want to go to a bigger school and I wanted to know what my chanes are of getting accepted at another institution with my disciplinary record?
Thank you
IMHO, I think you will be fine. If you didn’t do anything violent or get charged with a felony and it was just underage drinking or alcohol possession, I think that is something you can move on from.
You could always get your associates at a community college and then transfer.
Good luck!
You should just apply and see what happens!
And don’t live on campus!
Consider applying to your state public schools. Some publics have 100% admission rate, many admit 80% or more.
For Example:
University of Montana admitted 88% as did Univ. of Nevada at Reno.
University of Wyoming admitted 96%.
Seattle Pacific University admitted 90% of all applicants in 2018.
University of Maine admitted 92%.
Kansas State admitted 94%.
University of Kentucky admitted 94%.
University of Mississippi–88%.
Iowa State admitted 91%.
Univ. of Kansas–92%.
Arizona State & Univ. of Arizona about 85% each.
Univ. of Texas–El Paso = 100%.
Washburn University in Kansas = 100%.
My best guess is that you would be admitted to at least 2,000 four year colleges & universities in the US.
Additionally, there are hundreds, possibly thousands, of accredited online degree granting programs to which you would be admitted.
