<p>If you really want to go to Cal then you should go to Cal, regardless of whether or not you get into FPF.</p>
<p>One of my friends didn’t get into FPF, but he took breadth classes at a community college at home. He easily assimilated himself into Cal during spring semester. I’d say this is your next best option, because you’d save quite a lot of money doing so.</p>
<p>If living at Berkeley during fall is a must for you, I suppose you could always dorm and then take classes at the community college here near campus. Although I’m not sure if that’s completely plausible.</p>
