I got into stanford and no matter how hard i try i can't get UW out of my head. I have friends going there and i just love the place i've visited many many times. I know stanfords reputation is great but i love the U. Can anybody offer any advice? HELP PLZ

Go to Stanford. It's hard believe someone would actually be troubled with these two choices.

It'd probably be so much easier to transfer to the UW from Stanford if you weren't happy instead of the other way around. Even if you were content with UW you'd be kicking yourself sooner or later when you start to wonder what might have happend had you gave Stanford a shot.

I love UW sports teams especially basketball, however this is a NO BRAINER. GO TO STANFORD.

Although Stanford has a great reputation, sometimes you need to "create your own Stanford" meaning choose the college that will be best for you. Take into account other factors than just where your friends are going because believe it or not, you will make other friends. Decide if distance from home, cost, location, or any other factors lean you one way or another. If you still aren't decided, I would probably choose Stanford based on what was said above that it would probably be easier to transfer from Stanford to the UW rather than vice versa. Transferring would not be that hard to do.. keep that in mind.

Best wishes

Maybe visit Stanford 1 more time before giving it up but again although 90% of folks would jump at Stanford over Wash U that does not mean it is right for you, follow your heart(but if it were my S I'd say visit Stanford 1 more time if possible ) Good luck, both of course will provide you with a great education and 4 exciting years!!

I'd say Stanford unless there are financial considerations.
