im a junior and ive been going back and forth on majors. first law, then getting a teaching degree, pychology, business, advertising....it seems like i change my mind every week. how did you guys choose what was best for you?

It depends on the type of college you're thinking of attending. Most LACs give you room so you can declare your major at the beginning of your junior, at which point you would have had enough exposure to make an informed decision. But of course, you need to have started taking the required courses right from your first year. Even at schools where you have to indicate a major, things are still flexible to a point.
I'm a college freshman, and we spend more time deciding on which classes to take, rather than worrying over what to major in. I'm currently taking music, multivariable calc, physics and french. Next semester, I'll continue with music, math, maybe physics, and history/literature.
I'm sure I'll be a music major in addition to math/physics. Before I came here, I was already into music, but had no idea I'd be interested in majoring in music. But right now, it seems like the best thing going on for me. My high school dream was to study architecture, but all that has changed.

It's great to focus on the stuff you enjoy learning now, and explore new stuff. Life is full of surprises.

thanks a lot Jrock. believe it or not, youve actually helped a lot!

you're welcome:)
