Im currently a sophomore at an all girls catholic school.

Last semester, my GPA was a 3.5.
I know thats pretty low, considering that i would like to go to an ivy league school.
Next year, i wont be taking any honors or AP classes :(
Is that bad??

Im hispanic and i am also very athletic.
I play volleyball, swim, and also do tae kwon do.
Im very dedicated to volleyball and tae kwon do though.
Im part of student council, earth club, WIMS, and the athletic association.
I also volunteer at an elementary school, and tutor.
Im planning to start volunteering at my local hospital.

All i really want to know is would should i improve, what should i do.
What do colleges really look at?

Im a very responsible student, and i like to know things ahead and plan them out.

What advice do you have so then i'll be able to go to a school of my dreams??
Thank you to all

Unfortunately, it will hurt you pretty badly. But having an URM status, athlete in 3 different sports, and somewhat okay club involvement (that stuff doesn't really matter unless you created it unless you're a board member) will help I guess.... Not having any AP's or honors is definitely going to stop your chances for Ivies, sorry to be straight about it because you seem to have a decent profile. See if you can get some your senior year, that will help tremendously and also, having a 3.5 gpa in non ap/honors is going to be even worse.

Why aren't you taking any AP or honors classes? If it's because your school doesn't offer any, just make sure your counselor explains that and you should be fine. But if it's because of their difficulty, then you need to understand that any HS AP class is going to ridiculously easy compared to any class you'll take at an Ivy League school. Those who get into the Ivy League not only take the most rigorous course load, but maintain close to a 4.0 UW.
