My sister is a freshman this year and she's really hoping to go to an Ivy League (like me) but her grades aren't that great (her GPA's about 4.4 weighted)... not really top of her class, but somewhere in top 50 or so, but takes all honors, and is only in a few clubs [spanish, service club, peer tutoring, students against destructive desicions,] and plays jv volleyball and she also does volunteer with the elderly and is active with her religious group. Any suggestions about what she should do next? Please leave any comments... they'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

She has to get those grades up and maybe get some more EC's you should tell her what to do, considering you got into an Ivy League yourself.

But most important is getting those grades up and start prepping for the SAT and/or ACT..It's never too early..Well maybe sometimes it is..

A 4.4 weighted isn't great? Anyway, everything else is excellent. Clubs are fine, plays volleyball, volunteering, religious group... suggestions? None. The only thing I can think of is for her not to worry so much about college yet (so long as she keeps grades up and participates in ECs).
