I need some help guys

So I took the SAT in May and in June:

My scores only increased twenty points overall :-/ From a 1720 to a 1740..My main problem being the verbal section .. (540-520) and math I stayed the same at a 590. My writing increased to mid-600s though the second time. I didn't really study inbetween the two times I took it at all though due to the busy school work of Junior year I had.

So what do you guys think I can improve it to if I do a lot of practice tests..read AP books for English this summer..and just do a lot of practice tests haha for the test in October. I want to get above 600 in all categories.

Also, my overall GPA i think is like a 3.8-3.9. I'm pretty active (sports, National Honors Society, awards)

Do i have a decent chance of getting into a pretty decent, above average college?

And also give me some help on ways to improve and any tips in general, thanks

If that 'overall' GPA is unweighted than I think you have a chance of getting in to some pretty good schools. You should really try to get your SAT scores up though. I recommend taking as many TIMED practice tests as you can get your hands on. I guarantee that if you take 10 TIMED practice tests, and study the correct answers afterwards, your score will go up by at least 150 points overall.

Since you were busy during junior year, you didn't have as much time to study. But now you have the whole summer to study vocabulary words (very important for CR), take practice math tests, and basically analyze the SAT test.

It's beatable! Your score will definitely go up if you work at it over the summer.

Thanks a lot guys.

That gives me some hope haha

Any more suggestions would be appreciated anyone, thanks
