Hey I need some help choosing what school to transfer to. I'm currently attending Community College and I hope to transfer to Georgetown University. But the economy is so bad I'm thinking of going to Rutgers University. It would be cheaper for me to go to Rutgers because I'm from New Jersey but I'm dying to go to Georgetown University. It's my dream school but its really expensive. I want attend Law School after I receive my Bachelors and I hope to get into Georgetown's Law School. So I was wondering if someone could help me out. Would it make it easier for me to get into Georgetown's Law School if I went to Georgetown University instead of Rutgers University. My current GPA is a 3.5 in my first semester but I will get it up by the spring semester.

Apply for both and see what their financial package will be like.

^ Agreed. Expense is based on your personal situation/the school so a third party can’t really tell you the answer to your questions.

“Would it make it easier for me to get into Georgetown’s Law School if I went to Georgetown University instead of Rutgers University?”

Not really. I actually heard it makes things harder, at least for med school. But oh well, acceptance will really depend on you, no matter if it is true or not.

And remember colleges are always seeking for students out of state for the sake of being “diverse”, so there’s a good chance of them giving you scholarship just because you are not from their area.

Thanks for all the help to everyone who answered me.
